What's Happening in Mayo Abbey, Facefield & Ballyglass??

Mayo Abbey Community Council, Mayo Gaels GAA Club and Mayo Abbey Resource Centre are working together to help ensure the elderly and other vulnerable people in our community are supported and remain safe at this time.  To this end, we have put together a list of volunteers who are willing to assist those who need groceries, medication or fuel such as coal, briquettes etc collected and delivered to them.

Volunteers are either members of Mayo Gaels GAA or Mayo Abbey Community Council and we also have other members of the community who have contacted the Centre and offered to volunteer. We are grateful to them for their assistance in offering support to others at this crucial time. If you would like to be added to our list of volunteers, please call the Resource Centre.

Mayo Abbey Centre continues their meals delivery service throughout the community and have increased their provision of meals from 5 to 6 days.  Anybody wishing to avail of this service can call the Centre for further details.

Staff at the Resource Centre are offering other services including a friendly “check in” telephone call each morning or a weekly text with local information for those who may not have access to internet.

If you are a business that are providing extra services to our community at this time and would like to be included in our weekly updates, please let us know.

Enquiries regarding any of the above can be made by contacting Mayo Abbey Resource Centre on 094 93 65987 between 9.30am and 1.30pm Monday – Friday.
Outside of this, a message may be left on our answering machine and we will
return your call the next working day.
