Tug of War

Senior Mens Winners: The Ballyglass Senior Mens team (David Keane, Keith Foody, David Brennan, Mark Brennan, Walter Gibbons, Enda Murphy and Brendan Halligan) took home the Ray Prendergast Cup, presented to Enda Murphy, team captain, and their coach Michael Conroy took the Gerry Brennan Shield for the winning team coach. Runners Up: Ballycroy Senior Mens team (Gary Ginty, Steven Grealis, Brian Grealis, Tony Masterson, Donal Campbell, Seán McMenamon and Colm Calvey. The Ballycroy coach was Edward Roland).

Senior Womens Winners: Ballycroy (Nora Campbell, Katie Campbell, Mairead Bradley, Breege Ginty, Emma Grealis, Margaret Keane, Bridget Maguire. The coach was Gary Ginty) Runners Up: Ballyglass (Aoife Brennan, Sue Ellen Griffith, Laura Smyth, Deirdre Herviux, Clodagh Knightley, Carmel Ramsey, Susan O’ Reilly. Their coach was Jerry Ferguson).

National Schools Winners: Several mixed teams took part in this competition. The winning girls team (“The Rope Champs”) were Delia Warde (captain), Katie Gibbons, Ellie Sheridan, Leah Garvin, Eva Hallinan, Alisha Boyle, Ellen Masterson, Naoise Ramsey, Clodagh Prendergast, Maria Gibbons and Aoibhinn Burke. Delia Warde, team captain, was presented with the Michelle Canavan Shield by Ruth and Niall Canavan. Runners up were Saoirse Burke, Rachel Hallinan, Emma Ralph, Tara Keane, Aoife Conroy, Edel Keane, Amy Dunne, Maria Keane, Megan Malone and Megan Corbett.

The winning national school boy’s team was James Staunton, Dylan Corcoran, Cobhin Walsh, Ross Malone, Colin Prenty, Teegan Heneghan, Evan Heneghan, Seamus Byrne and Jack Morrin. The runners up were Henry Griffith, Philip Griffith, Matthew Corbett, Kyle Bourke, Adam Thompson, Nathan Thompson, Chris Boyle and Patrick Moran.
